Bernice “Bunny” Mcintyre: The Wren with three service numbers.

Bernice (Neill) MacIntyre joined the WRCNS on December 18th, 1942. As a wardroom assistant, her duties included supervising the main gallery at HMCS CONESTOGA and servicing as the personal steward for the Commanding Officer, LCdr Lisabell Macneill. Bunny’s wartime postings included HMCS JELLICO (Galt, Ont.) HMCS KING’S (Halifax, NS), and HMCS AVALON (St. John’s, Nfld.)

She joined HMCS CHIPPAWA in 1951 when women were granted permission to enroll in the Naval Reserve.
